El Dr. Martín Jiménez Rodríguez es médico oftalmólogo egresado de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), con especialidad en Cirugía Oftalmológica por el Instituto Nacional de Rehabilitación "Dr. Luis Guillermo Ibarra Ibarra", donde fue reconocido como Jefe de Residentes por su desempeño académico.
Posteriormente cursó dos Altas Especialidades en la UNAM: Metodología de la Investigación en Oftalmología y Cirugía de Retina y Vítreo en la Fundación Hospital Nuestra Señora de la Luz I.A.P., en la Ciudad de México.
Con una sólida trayectoria clínica y científica, el Dr. Jiménez se ha desempeñado como subinvestigador y coordinador en estudios internacionales multicéntricos sobre degeneración macular relacionada con la edad y edema macular diabético, colaborando con instituciones líderes en investigación oftalmológica.
Sus trabajos han sido publicados en revistas internacionales, incluyendo Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology, Case Reports in Ophthalmological Medicine y Clinical Ophthalmology.
Desde 2021 se desempeña como Jefe del Departamento de Retina y Vítreo en VISTAR Clínica Oftalmológica, donde lidera la atención médica y quirúrgica de los padecimientos de retina, así como el desarrollo de proyectos de investigación clínica.
Miembro activo de la Sociedad Mexicana de Retina (SMR), la American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS) y EURETINA, combina una práctica médica de alto nivel con un firme compromiso hacia la innovación y la ciencia aplicada al cuidado de la visión.
