With pupil dilation and retinal OCT. In advanced stages fluorescein angiography is added.
Treatments
- Intravitreal injections (anti-VEGF).
- Laser photocoagulation.
- Vitrectomy in advanced cases.
The best treatment remains metabolic control: glucose, blood pressure and cholesterol in target ranges.
