FemtoLASIK Surgery: What to Expect Before, During and After
FemtoLASIK surgery is one of the most requested ophthalmic procedures to correct myopia, astigmatism and hyperopia. At ViSTAR Eye Clinic we perform it with femtosecond laser technology and international protocols.
Who is a candidate?
People over 18 with a stable prescription for at least one year, no active corneal diseases, and a cornea of adequate thickness. The pre-evaluation includes topography, pachymetry and fundus exam.
The procedure
FemtoLASIK is performed with anesthetic drops and takes about 10 minutes per eye. A corneal flap is created with femtosecond laser and the cornea is reshaped with excimer laser.
Recovery
- Functional vision within 24 hours.
- Return to work in 48–72 hours.
- Post-op follow-up at 1, 7 and 30 days.
